That is absolutely the right question to ask. My role as a revenue manager, at its core, is to turn over every available rock and optimize every revenue opportunity. While I can’t promise a specific number without first analyzing your property, it’s reasonable to expect a 3–8% improvement in RevPAR within the first 6–12 months. In an underperforming hotel, the upside can be higher.


I typically start by identifying quick wins — often in rate positioning and market alignment — to capture immediate opportunity. From there, we move into more strategic optimization, such as refining segmentation mix and channel strategy.
